What documents should I bring translated to France?

Are you travelling to France to study or live there?

PERSONAL DOCUMENTS

You have to travel with these personal documents up to date and duly translated:

  • Long form birth certificate (several copies)
  • Marriage certificates (several copies)
  • Birth certificates of your spouse and children
  • Criminal record certificate

FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS

Bring the following financial documents:

  • Fiscal domicile certificate (to move your money and demonstrate legally obtained funds)
  • Bank account certificate (to move your money and demonstrate legally obtained funds)
  • Payrolls of recent months in Ecuador
  • Most recent tax declarations (for renting)

 

ACADEMIC DOCUMENTS

You will need the following academic documents (if you are applying to a university):

  • High school grade report (last three years and graduation certificate)
  • High school degree
  • University grade reports
  • University degree or certificate of degree issuance

 

ALL THESE DOCUMETNS (EXCEPT THE BANK DOCUMENTS) MUST BE DULY LEGALIZED, THAT IS TO SAY,THEY NEED AN APOSTILLE.

Every government has different procedures for legalizing documents:

  • Civil registry documents must have a Civil Registry legalization sticker to be apostilled. This sticker is requested in the Civil Registry of the country or in the provincial offices.
  • The criminal record certificate can be apostilled directly once it has been printed from the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairsr.
  • Grade reports from high school must have the signature of the high school secretary and then by revalidated in the district office of the Ministry of Education where the high school is located.
  • University documents (grade reports, degrees or certificates of degree issuance) must be signed by the university registrar and sent to be legalized in Senescyt).

Obviously, all these documents must be duly translated. This must be done by a sworn translator recognized in France. AT 9H05, WE HAVE ACCREDITED PERSONNEL TO TRANSLATE YOUR DOCUMENTS.
